Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Tax Associate to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in tax services. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of tax regulations, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax matters to clients in an understandable manner. The Tax Associate will play a crucial role in helping clients optimize their tax strategies, minimize liabilities, and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws. Key Responsibilities: Tax Preparation

• Utilize Quickbooks Online (or other software, if needed) to gather and analyze client information for tax preparation and tax planning
• Tax prep write-up work and preparation of any necessary year-end adjustments to prepare accurate and complete business tax returns and schedules
• Prepare and file federal and state income tax returns including Forms 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1120, 990, and 1041.
• Review federal and state income tax returns.
• Communicate and help implement tax minimization strategies
• Prepare entity and personal tax projections
• Research federal and state tax rules and regulations as necessary

Communication

• Develop a trusted relationship with your clients
• Respond timely to clients and the internal team
• Maintain status of returns using internal software
• Communicate with other Two Roads’ team members regarding tax related matters
• Be willing to share your tax knowledge with the team, as needed
• Participate in weekly team meetings
• 412 All-staff monthly meeting
• Liaison with the IRS and/or other regulatory bodies

Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns to meet all regulatory deadlines.
• Maintain detailed records of tax-related activities, client interactions, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to maintain consistent adherence to industry best practices and quality standards.

Continuous Learning

• Stay current with developments in tax legislation, IRS regulations, and industry trends to ensure accurate and up-to-date tax advice and services.

Preferred

• CPA or EA certification

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits:
