Position Overview

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Customer Service Representatives at our Austin location. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $24 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that begins on your very first day of employment.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of arenaflex, interacting with passengers at various touchpoints throughout their travel journey. Your primary responsibility is to deliver exceptional customer service in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner while adhering to all company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties that ensure smooth operations and outstanding passenger experiences. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Ticket Processing: Issue, reissue, and refund passenger tickets accurately while maintaining compliance with company fare rules and industry regulations.
  • Reservation Management: Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations using our advanced reservation systems, ensuring accurate documentation and proper fare calculation.
  • Rebooking Services: Rebook passengers on oversold flights and during irregular operations, providing alternative travel solutions that meet their needs.
  • Check-In Operations: Perform passenger check-in and front-seat assignments, manage seat upgrades, and address oversold seat situations professionally.
  • Traveler Assistance: Issue vouchers and provide directions regarding contractor services for passenger accommodations, meals, and transportation during disruptions.
  • Boarding Procedures: Perform passenger boarding, including ticket lift and check-in processes, while maintaining efficient boarding gate operations.
  • Gate Operations: Operate gate reader/scanner equipment, manage pre-boarding procedures, monitor carry-on items, and oversee exit lane models.
  • Jetway Operations: Operate jetways and bridges for boarding and deplaning passengers, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.
  • Announcements: Make boarding and departure gate announcements, communicating essential flight information to passengers clearly and professionally.
  • Flight Documentation: Deliver domestic and international flight records, ensuring passengers have necessary documentation for their journeys.
  • Baggage Services: Accept, check, and tag passenger baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium counters.
  • Self-Service Support: Assist passengers with self-service kiosk check-in and booth baggage handling at ticket counters.
  • Documentation Verification: Clear and verify international documents at booths in ticket counter areas and activation stations.
  • Special Assistance: Help passengers requiring special assistance, including boarding, deplaning, and transporting non-mobile travelers, unaccompanied minors, and passengers with special needs.
  • Regional Flight Support: Perform customer service duties associated with handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements.
  • Attendance Requirements: Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance, including meeting any mandatory overtime requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to and assist during security and emergency situations, following established protocols.
  • Passenger Information: Provide connecting passengers with gate information and guidance throughout their journey.
  • Quality Assurance: Deliver quality customer service in a professional manner, adhering to arenaflex guidelines and standards.
  • Compliance: Follow company policies, procedures, and performance standards while complying with governmental regulations including DOT, FAA, and TSA requirements.
  • Training Completion: Complete job-relevant phases of training as required throughout your employment.
  • Uniform Compliance: Wear uniforms as required by company policy, maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Additional Responsibilities Based on Airport Size

Depending on the size of your assigned airport, you may also be responsible for:

  • Performing Passenger Activity Control capabilities, including air-to-ground communication and Ramp operations
  • Assisting international travelers through customs and immigration processes, including baggage rechecking
  • Delivering tickets, international flight reports, and customs/immigration forms to passengers

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Language Skills: Bilingual language skills may be required for certain locations
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license as required by local authorities
  • Background Check: Must pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access credentials to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
  • Security Clearances: Must be able to obtain appropriate airport power and U.S. Customs security identifications, if applicable
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Sabre or other Passenger Service Reservation Systems
  • Previous face-to-face customer service experience in a hospitality, retail, or transportation setting
