Job Summary

As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Empathetic communication: Using your excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand complex medical bills and find affordable payment solutions.
  • Customer service excellence: Providing outstanding customer service, collaborating with patients over the phone to resolve account balances, and taking payments by phone.
  • Accurate documentation: Using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems.
  • Team support: Supporting your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and a caring team focus.
  • Continuous improvement: Continuously improving your skills and knowledge with supportive coaching, feedback, and ongoing training from your manager and team leads.

What You'll Need

* Experience: 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or billing environment.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills:

+ Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills. + Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and CRM software. + Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Certifications: Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred.
