Title : Senior Applications DBA Location : Raleigh, NC - HYBRID Duration : 12 + Months Job Type : C Description : The Client requires a Senior Applications DBA to support the migration and development support of various applications for North Carolina. The Client requires a Senior Applications DBA to support migration of Oracle database effort from on-prem to AWS cloud and development support of various applications for NC FAST in AWS Cloud. Primary responsibilities include managing the application schema, design, and extensions within the database for development, test, and production environments for Oracle database on Linux platform. The responsibilities also include database technical support, performance tuning, application administration and consulting, and providing support for Oracle, Oracle Data guard, Oracle Golden Gate. This resource will serve in a key role in the managing Oracle database on cloud platforms like AWS, Lead the development of procedures and best practices for effective database for high volume application system and providing database solution for application modernization. Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux Install, configure, and troubleshoot Golden Gate for batch and online process synchronization for high volume database Set up replication and high availability for Oracle databases using tools like Golden gate Monitor Oracle database performance Troubleshoot Oracle database problems Perform backups and restores of Oracle databases Work with application developers to identify and refine data requirements, table/database design, assist in SQL writing II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Skill Years of experience Last Used Demonstrable skills in designing schema, access patterns, locking strategy, SQL development, and tuning Oracle Databases in an enterprise environment Modifying the database structure, creation, and update to existing database objects per application needs Experience in configuring, monitoring, and Cache management for Oracle database servers Strong experience in allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system Experience in Install, configure, and troubleshoot/maintain Golden Gate Must have experience in implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS including EC2, RDS and S3 Experience authoring code in SQL, PL/SQL on Unix/Linux Proficiency in one or more shell scripting languages Hands-on experience enrolling users and maintaining system security, Controlling user access to the database, Locking down host access Monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates Designing and implementing backup/restore service and disaster recovery (DR) solutions Installing and upgrading the database software, Patching the software that powers database Good Analytical,Technical,TimeManagement and Communication Skills Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work Experience with advanced security and Oracle DataGuard replication Experience in Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting Demonstrable skills with Cúram Software and database schema Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
