Atlassian Guard Administrator (Security & Access Control)

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas state agency to assist in their search for a remote Atlassian Guard Administrator . In this contract position, you will be responsible for supporting and remediating security, access, and governance configurations within the Atlassian ecosystem. Major duties

• Administer and configure Atlassian Guard to support security, access control, and compliance requirements.
• Review, correct, and maintain user access, roles, and permissions across Atlassian tools.
• Support ITSM teams by ensuring Atlassian Guard configurations align with approved governance policies.
• Identify and remediate security gaps, misconfigurations, and access risks within Atlassian.
• Assist with role cleanup, access standardization, and entitlement corrections.
• Provide documentation and status updates on Atlassian Guard configurations and remediation actions.
• Work under direction of the agency DevOps leadership to ensure scope, priorities, and timelines.

What are we looking for?

• 8 years of experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Atlassian Admin).
• 6 years of hands-on experience with Atlassian Guard administration and managing user access, roles, per missions, and identity integrations.
• 6 years of experience supporting governance, risk, and compliance requirements and working with ITSM teams and access control workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.

• Rate: $68.00/hour
• W2 Contract
• Remote
• 3 month contract with opportunity for extension
