IT Career Advisor — Enrollment Specialist $50k – $72k

Overview

NGT Academy is on a mission to place 1 million people into tech careers by 2030 — and every enrollment starts with a conversation. We need an IT Career Advisor to guide prospective students through the decision to invest in their future. You'll conduct consultations, address concerns, and help people decide if our programs are the right path for them. This is consultative sales, not high-pressure tactics. Our product works (800+ five-star Trustpilot reviews), so your job is finding the right people and helping them take the leap. What You'll Own

  • Enrollment consultations via Zoom — guiding prospects through our programs, answering questions, and helping them make informed decisions
  • Your pipeline — tracking prospects in CRM, following up consistently, and nurturing leads who need more time to decide
  • Inbound and outbound outreach — responding to inquiries from interested prospects and reaching out to qualified leads
  • Conversion targets — meeting weekly/monthly enrollment KPIs (specific numbers provided during onboarding)
  • Objection handling with empathy — addressing concerns about career change, time commitment, cost, and ROI
  • Student support coordination — assisting with payment questions and handoffs to Student Success as needed

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Completed product training — you can explain every program, pricing option, and student outcome confidently
  • Shadowed top performers and began taking calls with manager support
  • Consistently hitting or approaching weekly enrollment targets
  • Built an organized pipeline with clear follow-up cadences in CRM
  • Received positive feedback from enrolled students on their consultation experience

You're a Fit If

  • You have 6+ months of sales or customer-facing experience — phone sales, retail, hospitality, or similar (non-traditional backgrounds welcome)
  • You genuinely enjoy helping people make big decisions — career change conversations energize you, not drain you
  • You handle objections with empathy, not pressure — you address concerns rather than bulldoze through them
  • You're organized and self-directed — you manage your pipeline and follow-ups without micromanagement
  • You actively seek feedback and coaching — our best performers are constantly improving
  • You believe in the product — you can only sell something you'd recommend to a friend

Bonus Points

  • Experience in EdTech, career services, or training enrollment
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar)
  • Background as a career changer yourself — you understand what prospects are going through
