Fire Safety & Emergency Management Trainer (Healthcare)

About the position Jensen Hughes is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused professional to join our growing team. This role is responsible to conduct Fire Safety Training at all levels of an organization, typically in healthcare to leadership, clinical staff and support staff. Knowledge of applicable codes, standards and regulations including NFPA, Joint Commission, CMS, etc. Also familiar with Emergency Management principles and concepts and able to apply those to emergency management consulting, program assessments, Hazard Vulnerability Assessments, plan/procedure design, training and drills/exercises We are deeply committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace, and we strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging hands-on and classroom-based training in fire safety, fire response, and surgical fire prevention, demonstrating strong communication and instructional skills.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for client engagements, establishing trust, building long-term partnerships, and ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying growth opportunities, supporting proposal development, participating in industry events, and presenting solutions to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new service offerings, thought leadership content, and client education initiatives.
  • Stay current with evolving regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices to ensure cutting-edge client support.
  • As necessary, effectively coordinate and facilitate training and exercises with local/regional healthcare and emergency response partners

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in fire safety, emergency management, fire protection, fire science, safety, or related degree is preferred. An associate’s degree coupled with experience will be considered.
  • Must possess drivers valid license
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity under pressure, with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment and effectively manage communications
  • Desire to grow client engagements and develop business
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering inclusive and informative sessions to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; adaptable to emerging technologies and platforms.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 50%, with potential for international assignments.
