About Us: The Kiz Collective is a vibrant dance school dedicated to fostering community, connection, and growth through the art of Urban Kiz and Kizomba. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where dancers of all levels can express themselves and develop their skills. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate Intern Photographer to capture the energy, creativity, and connection that defines our community. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Intern Photographer to join our team. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event and portrait photography within a dynamic dance environment. You will work closely with our team to document classes, workshops, events, and social gatherings, producing high-quality images that will be used for marketing, social media, and promotional materials. Key Responsibilities:
- Capture compelling and dynamic images during dance classes, workshops, events, and socials.
- Work with the team to plan and execute photo shoots that align with our brand’s visual style.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visual content that enhances our online presence and promotes our events.
- Organize and manage photo files, ensuring that they are properly labeled and archived.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas for photo content.
- Assist in creating a visual narrative that reflects The Kiz Collective’s mission of connection, growth, and community.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency or interest in learning photography techniques, including lighting, composition, and post-processing.
- A creative eye with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in dance and familiarity with Kizomba/Urban Kiz is a plus, but not required.
