Regional MDS / Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator Skilled Nursing Facilities - Western North Carolina Position Summary The Regional MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator provides oversight and support for MDS and reimbursement processes across multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities. This role ensures accurate MDS completion, PDPM optimization, regulatory compliance, and staff education to support quality outcomes and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and audit MDS 3.0 assessments for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Ensure proper PDPM classification, ICD‑10 coding, and reimbursement optimization
  • Provide education, mentoring, and ongoing support to facility MDS staff
  • Monitor compliance with CMS and state regulations
  • Collaborate with facility and regional leadership to improve outcomes
  • Support survey readiness, audits, and corrective action plans

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (LPN considered with strong MDS experience)
  • 3+ years MDS coordination experience in a SNF setting
  • Strong knowledge of PDPM, MDS 3.0, ICD‑10, and CMS regulations
  • Prior auditing or multi‑facility experience preferred
  • Ability to travel regionally (50-75%)

  • Combination of onsite facility visits and remote work
