Junior Java Developer (Contract)

- Assist in developing, testing, and deploying Java applications following best practices and SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate UI components built with React, Angular, or other frameworks using JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML/CSS
- Contribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and web services utilizing WCF, SOAP, or other protocols
- Participate in code reviews, debugging sessions, and unit testing to ensure robust application performance
- Support database design and management using SQL, T-SQL, PL/SQL for databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Work within Agile teams utilizing tools like TFS, GitHub, SVN, or Git for version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Assist in developing microservices architecture leveraging Java Spring Boot or Node.js for scalable application deployment
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development with a focus on Java programming language and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Familiarity with front-end development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js along with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Knowledge of web development technologies including RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, AJAX, XSLT, and web services integration
- Experience working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Microsoft SQL Server; including database design and query optimization
- Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum and familiarity with SDLC processes
- Proficiency using IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio for application development and debugging
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus
- Ability to write clean code with strong debugging skills; experience with unit testing frameworks is desirable
- Knowledge of version control systems including Git or SVN; familiarity with CI/CD pipelines is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new technologies
