Microsoft 365 Security & Collaboration Engineer Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Security & Collaboration Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, security, compliance, collaboration platforms, and automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting and optimizing Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Microsoft Purview, and security/governance solutions. The candidate should possess strong troubleshooting, PowerShell scripting, security administration, and tenant management skills while supporting enterprise collaboration and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft 365 Administration & Support

  • Resolve complex Level 2/Level 3 support issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
  • Manage and troubleshoot:
  • Exchange Online mail flow
  • SharePoint Online permissions
  • OneDrive access
  • Microsoft Teams collaboration issues
  • Support tenant administration and operational maintenance activities.

Security & Compliance Management

  • Configure and manage:
  • Microsoft Purview
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • eDiscovery
  • Conditional Access Policies
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to secure Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Implement governance and compliance best practices across the tenant.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for:
  • User provisioning
  • License management
  • Tenant administration
  • Automation workflows
  • Improve operational efficiency through automation.

Migration & Infrastructure Support

  • Participate in:
  • Microsoft 365 migrations
  • User onboarding
  • Infrastructure upgrades
  • Tenant optimization initiatives
  • Support deployment and transition activities for enterprise collaboration platforms.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Create and maintain:
  • SOPs
  • Technical documentation
  • Operational procedures
  • Troubleshooting guides
  • Mentor and support Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate with Microsoft Premier/Unified Support for critical issues and escalations.
  • Work closely with internal IT teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.

  • Strong troubleshooting and support experience.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with enterprise Microsoft environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender and security tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
