Senior Accounting Associate

What You'll Do

As a key member of the accounting team, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities across multiple business entities.
  • Lead month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations while researching and resolving discrepancies.
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and commission reporting.
  • Support consolidated financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Assist with cash management and monitoring of cash activity across various operating entities.
  • Prepare audit schedules, tax support documentation, and internal reporting packages.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, automation efforts, and accounting workflow enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures and documentation to support scalability and operational excellence.
  • Participate in special projects, business integrations, and strategic growth initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial close processes.
  • Experience managing high-volume reconciliations and working with large data sets.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Experience

  • Insurance, healthcare, or financial services industry experience.
  • Familiarity with commission accounting and carrier reporting.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity organizations.
  • Exposure to tax consulting, professional services, or agency operations environments.
