Secondary Teacher of Record - remote

Remote-first Full-time Now hiring

Job Summary The Secondary Teacher of Record (ToR) will assume the responsibility of developing and supervising an individualized learning plan for their class roster of 7-12th grade students. To ensure students are progressing according to grade level content standards, ToRs will collaborate with parents of independent study students to monitor and evaluate their performance. Additionally, ToRs will be assigned various school programs and are expected to actively contribute to fostering a positive school culture and promoting growth within the school community. This role necessitates a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously to meet all established deadlines. It is important to note that the ToR will be required to: Conduct meetings with students and parents at least once every 25 school days to discuss academic progress, address concerns, and develop support plans and conduct a minimum of four in-person Learning Period (LP) meetings as assigned. This requirement emphasizes the importance of face-to-face interaction to establish strong relationships and effective communication with new and returning families. There are a few required in-person staff meetings each year. We reimburse for mileage. We post in all of the counties where we serve students. There is no reason to apply more than once. Applicants MUST reside within Orange, San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, or San Bernardino counties to be considered. We encourage interested applicants to visit our website to learn our model, mission, and values. Requirements / Qualifications
