Inside Sales Rep – AI Solutions for Government

A leading AE company recently retained our AI sales recruiting division. The hiring company delivers next-generation solutions that enhance the operational efficiency of government agencies. Our client has earned recognition for advanced NLP platforms with modern reasoning capabilities. Their technology combines ease of use with the highest security standards, empowering government employees to make smarter, data-driven decisions, drive transparency, and streamline daily operations. Today, an expanding roster of state, local, and federal agencies relies on their solutions. To meet rising demand, we are recruiting two Inside Sales Representatives. Among other responsibilities, this role will lead customer engagement, guiding agencies through the product’s features, capabilities, and security advantages. Ideal Candidate and Location The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills with a structured, persistent follow-up style. Experience working with government buyers or managing complex sales cycles is an ideal experience component. Moreover, a passion for emerging technologies is essential, as this position offers the opportunity to help modernize government through AI. Additionally, candidates have strong motivation to grow with a mission-driven organization bridging the gap between innovation and public service. Location: Our recruiters prefer candidates who reside in the greater Washington, D.C. Though, our headhunters are considering remote applicants with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Public Sector sales team by building a pipeline and closing business.
  • Prospect new leads through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Schedule demos and present company solutions to potential clients
  • Build and maintain relationships to grow public sector accounts.
  • Manage pricing and long sales cycles tied to government procurement.
  • Understand budget cycles and contracting options for government agencies.
  • Share industry knowledge and strategic advice throughout the sales process.
  • Provide feedback to guide product and marketing decisions.
  • Stay active in the AI space and seek new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team on development strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 2+ years in B2G technology sales or similar business development experience
  • Knowledge of AI and emerging tech in the public sector
  • Experience using a CRM system with precise organizational skills
