Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Director of Operations to lead their fully remote operations team. This is a crucial leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics, supply chain management, and operational efficiency across the organization. The Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, optimizing supply chain networks, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to align operational goals with overall business objectives. Key responsibilities include setting performance metrics, analyzing operational data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and reduce costs. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in operations management, supply chain logistics, and experience leading large, dispersed teams. Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, as is a proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic operational plans to optimize logistics, supply chain, and inventory management. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the remote workforce, ensuring high levels of productivity and efficiency. Manage and negotiate with third-party logistics providers and suppliers. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational functions. Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure seamless product/service delivery. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing remote operations team. Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for enhancement. Implement and maintain robust quality control processes. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the remote team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management and supply chain logistics. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large, remote teams. Extensive experience in optimizing supply chain networks, inventory management, and logistics operations. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated financial acumen and budget management experience. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and supply chain management software. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fully remote work environment.
