Job Summary As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department, working closely with a team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists to ensure our clients receive the reimbursement they deserve. This is a hybrid role, with a mix of remote and in-office work, offering the perfect blend of flexibility and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project associate-related duties, including + Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems + Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Running and creating reports + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team + Scanning and indexing of documents
  • Data entry and medical record management, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaboration with the revenue recovery team to identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance client satisfaction
  • Providing exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to arenaflex's policies and procedures regarding patient information and data security Essential Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or computer science) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in medical record management, data entry, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a healthcare revenue integrity or billing environment
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) or a related field
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and ICD-10
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau)
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement principles and practices
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations Skills and Competencies
