Financial Analyst - Hybrid or Remote

Position Summary We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning and performance analysis in a growing locum tenens organization. This role focuses on provider assignment economics, bill/pay rate structures, and client contract profitability, helping drive informed decisions in a high-revenue, relationship-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and rolling projections
  • Build financial models that monitor key cost components impacting profitability
  • Analyze revenue drivers including provider days worked, bill rates, and assignment duration
  • Track and manage team budgets with leadership throughout the year
  • Calculate quarterly/annual bonuses and assist with month end accruals
  • Evaluate revenue seasonality tied to hospital demand and provider availability
  • Analyze bill rates vs. provider pay rates for physicians and advanced practitioners
  • Track gross margin by specialty (e.g., anesthesiology, radiology) and facility
  • Manage monthly commission reporting
  • Partner with BI Analyst to develop dashboards that provide financial insights for leadership
  • Work closely with private equity groups on any financial modeling requests
  • Manage Jet Reports for the company, based on accounting needs
  • Track and analyze critical locum tenens metrics
  • Assist Accounting & Finance with other requests as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or staffing finance
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Familiarity with ATS/CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Bullhorn, NetSuite)
  • Strong understanding of high-margin, placement-based revenue models
  • Ability to analyze complex cost structures (travel, lodging, malpractice)
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in locum tenens, physician staffing, or healthcare staffing
  • Exposure to high-growth or private equity-backed environments.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
