Remote Civil Project Manager - Land Development

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Civil Project Manager to lead land development projects from a fully remote capacity. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage diverse projects including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, with the flexibility of working from home. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial site planning and feasibility studies through design, permitting, construction, and closeout. Key responsibilities include managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively; coordinating with clients, design teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies; ensuring quality control and compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex land development projects on time and within budget. A deep understanding of civil engineering principles related to site development, grading, drainage, utilities, and transportation is essential. Proficiency in project management software and excellent problem-solving abilities are required. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required. A Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project management, with a significant focus on land development, is expected. Experience managing remote teams and working effectively in a virtual environment is crucial. This role demands a high degree of self-discipline, organization, and proactive communication to ensure seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of land development civil engineering projects. Develop and control project budgets, schedules, and resources. Coordinate effectively with clients, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure project designs meet all technical, regulatory, and quality standards. Oversee the permitting process and construction administration. Lead and mentor project teams in a remote setting. Identify and mitigate project risks. Communicate project status and key issues to stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 10+ years of experience in civil project management, specializing in land development. Proven track record of managing complex development projects. Strong understanding of site development, grading, drainage, and utility design. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong asset.
