Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and dispatch a fleet of drivers across various geographical regions. Monitor driver locations and progress using GPS tracking software. Optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams regarding shipment status and any potential delays. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, such as traffic delays, vehicle breakdowns, or delivery exceptions, in real-time. Manage load assignments and ensure proper documentation is maintained. Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities and operational metrics. Respond to inquiries from drivers and customers promptly and professionally. Proactively identify and address potential logistical challenges before they impact service. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth overall operations.

Requirements

Proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with drivers and clients. Strong proficiency with GPS tracking systems, route optimization software, and other logistics technology. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is a plus. Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office workspace. Experience working in a remote or telecommuting environment is highly preferred. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Must pass a background check.
