Key Responsibilities

  • Develop proof‑of‑concept (PoC) and minimum viable product (MVP) initiatives to validate new architectures and solutions that enhance the customer journey.
  • Write clean, maintainable code across the full stack, contributing to both front‑end and back‑end components of arenaflex’s web applications.
  • Participate actively in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Analyze user requirements to translate business needs into technical specifications, performance goals, and scalable designs.
  • Debug existing software, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes to improve reliability and user satisfaction.
  • Provide guidance on documentation standards and software development process best practices, ensuring knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications on arenaflex Cloud (formerly AWS), leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
  • Implement scalable, fault‑tolerant architectures that support high‑volume traffic during peak travel periods.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including product, design, operations, and security—to optimize overall system performance and reliability.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in cloud computing, web development, and aviation technology, proactively recommending enhancements.

Essential Qualifications (Minimum Requirements)

  • Strong experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and at least one modern framework (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Node.js, or Django).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with arenaflex Cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
  • Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) to enable scalable deployments.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, micro‑services architecture, and cloud‑native design patterns.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL; familiarity with Linux/Unix operating environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a remote, agile environment.
