[Remote] Business Development Coordinator (Telemarketer)

Embark Student Corp. is a fintech company dedicated to helping Canadians achieve their education goals through an innovative digital platform. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Coordinator to make outbound calls, book appointments for sales representatives, and maintain client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to customers and potential clients using a script provided by the company
  • Identify potential clients and tailor your approach to meet their needs and preferences
  • Handle objections and rejections effectively, professionally, and positively
  • Introduce the company, explain its services to the potential client positively, and be enthusiastic about saving for post-secondary
  • Qualify the potential client to ensure they are a good fit for the services offered by the company
  • Schedule appointments with qualified potential clients based on their availability and the availability of the sales team
  • Confirm appointments with potential clients and provide them with any necessary information about the company or the appointment
  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions and appointments scheduled using the company's CRM and other tools
  • Meet daily or weekly appointment booking targets set by the company

Skills

  • Proven experience as a telemarketer or similar sales/customer service role
  • Excellent communication skills, with a persuasive and confident manner
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet daily or weekly appointment booking targets
  • Experience using CRM platforms and other sales tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High energy and confidence
  • Someone who listens to diverse perspectives with an empathetic attitude
  • A lifelong learner who is performance driven
  • Someone who recognizes our customers as our most important stakeholders
