Onvida Health is dedicated to improving community health and well-being, and they are seeking an Administrative Director of Data Analytics to lead their data strategy and analytics innovation. This role involves developing a scalable data platform and guiding the organization in transforming data into actionable intelligence to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provides vision, forward thinking and strategic planning in a proactive manner while being open-minded and creative in establishing a strategic direction; develops through an integration of ideas of those involved, an organized strategy to achieve both short and long term objectives for the department; effectively communicates strategy to obtain commitment by the responsible individuals
  • Leads enterprise data and analytics strategic planning aligned with organizational goals
  • Develops and communicates a comprehensive roadmap for data platform modernization, advanced analytics, and data product strategy
  • Evaluates emerging technologies and analytics capabilities that support value-based care, population health, risk adjustment, and clinical/operational decision support
  • Collaborates with clinical and operational leadership to ensure analytics strategy supports health system priorities
  • Demonstrates a personal accountability for financial results through development of an annual budget and operational plan and management of performance based on plan; engages staff in efforts to contain costs and improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of services; understands the basics of health care financial management
  • Oversees budgeting and financial planning for the data analytics department and related initiatives
  • Optimizes resource allocation, software investments, and infrastructure costs while ensuring scalability
  • Identifies revenue enhancement opportunities through analytic innovation and data products that support value-based care and operational improvement
  • Manages financial performance against volume-adjusted budget expectations

  • Integrates analytics solutions into operational and clinical systems to support enterprise strategic objectives
  • Fosters alignment between technology, healthcare delivery, and organizational performance outcomes
  • Works cross-functionally with IT, clinicians, operations leaders, and external partners to ensure analytics are leveraged to improve care delivery
  • Leads change management ensuring successful adoption of data products and decision support tools
  • Is proactively involved in monitoring staffing needs and is responsible for engaging in recruiting and retention strategies; Develops others through setting clear expectations, mentoring and coaching, and holding others accountable for results; Utilizing work force analysis, identifies required competencies needed for effective management of human resources and is able to identify short and long-term staffing needs; conducts oneself in an honest, credible, trustworthy manner consistent with YRMC's values; demonstrates an integration of values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors through an acceptance of responsibility and accountability for individual's own actions
  • Builds, mentors, and retains a high-performing analytics, data engineering, and data product team
  • Defines staffing requirements based on future state analytics capabilities
  • Cultivates a culture of innovation, psychological safety, learning, and accountability
  • Promotes open communication and team empowerment with clear expectations and coaching for success
  • Leverages the unique system capabilities (hospital and community providers) to increase value for external and internal customers and eliminate barriers to care; participates in community involvement; champions community involvement in the department and throughout the organization; promotes and encourage community involvement throughout the department and throughout the organization
  • Represents the organization in data and healthcare innovation forums to strengthen community relationships and partnerships
  • Supports initiatives that advance access to data insights for population health and community wellbeing

  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed to support the mission, values, and operational needs of the organization

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Services Research, Health Economics, or a related field required
  • 7-10 Years Related Experience Required
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing data platform development and advanced analytics initiatives, with a focus on value-based care, risk adjustment, population health, health system operations, decision support, and data product strategy
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align data initiatives with business, patient care, population health, and decision support objectives, emphasizing data product development and strategy
  • Expertise in data platform architecture, development, and integration, with a deep understanding of healthcare-specific challenges and decision support needs, complemented by data product strategy proficiency
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing advanced analytics solutions in the context of value-based care and risk adjustment methodologies, incorporating data product strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex healthcare data concepts to diverse stakeholders, including those involved in decision support and data product strategy discussions
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment within the healthcare data landscape, with a specific focus on decision support and data product development
  • Master's Degree or Advanced degree (PhD) in Health Services Research, Health Economics, or a related field preferred
