[Remote] Proposal Writer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Eight Eleven Group is seeking a Proposal Writer to support our Federal, SLED, and non-government clients. The role involves developing technical content for RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, enhancing proposal processes, and collaborating with various teams to improve the overall proposal development outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the proposal creation process for the responses Eight Eleven Group develops in conjunction with Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs)received from the public sector (specifically Federal as well as SLED)
  • Understand the nuances, issues, and value drivers within the public sector and craft industry-specific proposals that resonate with clients
  • Develop and maintain compelling, persuasive RFP content
  • Build compliant outlines for RFPs/RFIs
  • Assist in updating process, procedure, and structure to our RFP organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize, write, and coordinate proposals while ensuring compliance with all RFP requirements
  • Assist in updating and developing and maintaining a proposal content library and industry-specific collateral within our tool Loopio
  • Review proposals to ensure a precise product ready for client review; proofread for content, grammar, style, formatting; edit, organize, and pull attachments and exhibits
  • Create and design custom, highly visual non-RFP proposals (e.g., books, whitepapers) in InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, Loopio, etc
  • Work to proactively identify and prioritize sales needs and create and execute projects focused on those needs

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years' experience developing and writing responses to Government Requests for Proposals
  • Demonstrated experience in developing Federal Government proposal responses to include assisting in the preparation/maintenance of proposal management artifacts (e.g., outline, compliance matrix, schedule, and proposal cross-reference matrix)
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication (written and oral) skills and ability to build relationships with team members assigned in the process
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Adobe PDF
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to create and enforce critical schedule deadlines, work under pressure and be resilient when there are unexpected changes
  • Ability to drive compelling responses from team members
  • Ability to create and enforce critical schedule deadlines
  • Strong foundations related to intake, proposal process management, organization, and structure
  • Skilled at critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving
  • Ability to quickly grasp concepts, execute strong writing and work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Experience supporting local and virtual team members across various geographical locations
