[Remote] Associate, Development Operations

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Per Scholas is a nonprofit organization focused on providing no-cost tech training to individuals, helping them launch successful careers in technology. The Associate, Development Operations will support the Development team by managing gift recording, data management, and coordinating with various departments to ensure operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily gift recording, acknowledgments, and recurring reporting, in partnership with Fiscal and the Senior Manager for Development Operations
  • Manage constituent and gift quality control through dynamic reporting and team training to reinforce accurate data entry
  • Maintain and organize updated financial documents and attachments in Google Drive and Salesforce
  • Prepare monthly invoices, payment requests, and other documents for approval and submission to Fiscal
  • May assist in assembling letters of interest, grant proposals, reports, budgets, and other documentation to respond to donor guidelines
  • Assisting with special events as needed

Skills

  • Ability to learn and manage a database with confidential information; prior experience with Salesforce or other CRMs desirable
  • Exceptional organizational and attention to detail, and strong follow-through
  • Strong writing, editing, note-taking, and copy-editing skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and on phone
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment, working both independently and as a team member
  • Experience with or ability to learn Google Apps for Business (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, etc.) and Slack
  • Prior administrative, non-profit and/or development experience desirable, but not required
