[Remote] Senior Engineering Manager, Offer Delivery

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead the Offer Delivery Team to enhance user growth and engagement through intelligent targeting and product recommendations, while managing a high-performing engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement an engineering roadmap that supports intelligent and personalized offer and product recommendations to our user base
- Work with cross functional partners including Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, and Research Scientists to make this a highly impactful program
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team directly, focused on providing high quality solutions and incrementally enhance systems with each pull request
- Leverage experimentation and data-driven insights to refine growth strategies, optimizing user engagement and conversion through continuous testing, iteration, and personalization
- Create a best-in-class offer generation infrastructure that scales with our user base and all Upstart products
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, or a related field (or its equivalent) + 8 years of experience, including at least 3 years of direct people management experience
- Experience leading product oriented teams with quantifiable user impact
- Ability to convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences
- Experience with growth engineering product stacks (Optimizations, Experimentation, Personalization, Recommendation Systems, etc)
- Experience working on a product with marketplace dynamics
- Proven track record of leading and growing engineering teams
- Success in driving initiatives spanning multiple teams across organizations
- Skilled in scaling systems in both a technical and organizational capacity
