Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a Duck Creek QA Engineer Lead to oversee quality assurance efforts for the Duck Creek Policy platform. The role involves leading testing activities, developing test plans, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define QA standards, test strategies, and best practices for Duck Creek implementations and upgrades
  • Lead end-to-end testing activities for Duck Creek Policy, including functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT support
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test execution reports
  • Validate Duck Creek configurations including:
  • Product setup
  • Rating and pricing rules
  • Business rules
  • Forms and document generation
  • Validate policy lifecycle transactions including:
  • New Business
  • Endorsements
  • Renewals
  • Cancellations
  • Reinstatements
  • Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for UI, API, and backend validations
  • Perform integration testing across Duck Creek and upstream/downstream systems
  • Validate REST and SOAP API integrations and data exchanges
  • Support cloud migration testing efforts, including environment validation, regression testing, and release certification
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Conduct data validation and backend testing using SQL queries and database analysis
  • Perform defect triage, root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution
  • Support performance, scalability, and release readiness testing activities
  • Ensure compliance with quality, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead and mentor QA team members across onshore and offshore delivery models
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, architects, product owners, and external vendors
  • Provide quality governance, testing metrics, and release sign-off recommendations

Skills

  • 8+ years of experience in Insurance Technology with 5+ years of Duck Creek Policy/Express testing experience
  • Strong experience in Duck Creek product configuration testing
  • Strong experience in rating and rules validation
  • Strong experience in forms testing
  • Strong experience in policy lifecycle testing (New Business through Renewal)
  • Expertise in functional, integration, regression, system, and UAT testing
  • Strong test automation experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent frameworks
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman, ReadyAPI, or similar
  • Strong SQL and database validation skills
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Experience validating CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Strong defect management and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery models
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills
