[Remote] Nonprofit Development - Marketing Specialist (Pro Bono)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Pixel Games Studio is the game development branch of Boundless Gamers, a non-profit charity focused on mental health awareness through gaming. They are seeking a Marketing Specialist to identify and manage corporate partnerships, plan sponsorship campaigns, and create marketing materials that highlight the value of partnerships with their non-profit.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting market research and brand prospecting to identify corporate sponsors and partners within the gaming, tech, food and other industries
  • Cold calling and emailing to identify and engage the right decision-makers at target brands, focusing on breaking the ice and pitching the initial concept of high-visibility, in-game product placements
  • Writing and editing sponsorship decks, pitch letters, and partnership proposals
  • Tracking and reporting on sponsorship ROI, brand impressions, and campaign engagement
  • Creating marketing materials that show sponsors the value of their partnership with our non-profit

Skills

  • Experience in marketing, brand management, or corporate sponsorship acquisition; prior experience in nonprofit is a major plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for pitching to brands; ideally previous experience in business development or account management
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and tools used to track outreach and engagement
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to turn game development concepts into compelling, professional 'sales' language for corporate executives
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Previous experience in marketing or volunteer roles is advantageous
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred, but proven experience in securing partnerships is key
