[Remote] Vice President of Business Development

They are seeking an experienced Vice President of Business Development to drive new client acquisitions and manage key relationships within their corporate investor relations production practice.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and close new business with publicly traded companies, IR agencies, and financial communications firms in need of premium production services, presentation design, web design & development, investor relations, and creative support
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships with IR officers, corporate communications leaders, and financial PR firms
  • Develop compelling proposals and pitch productions tailored to the specific needs of corporate IR clients
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from cold outreach and prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and contract close
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, ensuring a seamless handoff to the production team
  • Report on pipeline activity, revenue performance, and client retention directly to the CEO

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in a business development or sales role with a demonstrated, proven track record of success within corporate IR or financial communications production
  • Deep expertise in investor relations content, including earnings productions, annual reports, shareholder communications, roadshow materials, and IR event coverage
  • Established relationships within the corporate IR and financial communications landscape. You know the right people and know how to open doors
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and close at the C-suite and IR leadership level
  • Strong ability to develop and close large-scale production contracts with publicly traded companies, IR agencies, and financial communications firms
  • Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to manage a sales pipeline and thrive in a fully remote environment
  • Proficient in creating proposals
