[Remote] DevOps Engineer 2
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Granicus is a company focused on transforming the Govtech industry by connecting governments with their constituents. The DevOps Engineer II will be responsible for developing, automating, and securing the company’s diverse technology portfolio, utilizing tools like GitLab-CI/CD and Kubernetes to enhance platform stability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Automate CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy our software
- Provisioning and maintenance of systems, load balancer configs, firewall rules, databases, and other automation driven infrastructure tasks
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application related issues
- Work towards implementing platform stability and cost-effective practices
- Take ownership of platform standardization initiatives, involving migration to Granicus standard tools and technologies
- Escalation support for the SRE team
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science and/or relevant experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in the DevOps framework
- Strong hold in Linux and Windows administration
- Good proficiency in diagnosing and remediating complex technical issues
- Good understanding of cloud hosting infrastructure
- Designing and implementing infrastructure using IAC, Terraform
- Strong hold on continuous integration/ continuous deployment concepts
- Good understanding of cloud networking concepts
- Good understanding of source code management, GitLab preferred
- Good understanding of containerization concepts
- Passion for security and identifying opportunities to improve security and testing
- Effective communication skills for working across support and engineering departments
- Monitoring the infrastructure and application for improvements, and monitoring and analyzing application and system logs
- Troubleshooting and debugging cloud-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and system outages
- Developing and maintaining backup and disaster recovery plans
- Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance productivity, improve decision-making, and drive innovation in daily work activities
- On-call support required on rotational basis
