[Remote] Staff Attorney, Legal Technology Initiatives
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Levi & Korsinsky LLP is a national plaintiffs' securities class action firm seeking a part-time Staff Attorney to work with their internal legal technology team. The role involves reviewing and evaluating complex litigation work products and serving as a liaison between litigation attorneys and the technology team.
Responsibilities
- You will review draft work product (motion to dismiss oppositions, complaints, discovery motions, and other core securities litigation filings) and evaluate them the way a senior litigator would evaluate a junior associate's work
- Where a draft falls short, you will articulate what's missing, wrong, or stylistically off, and translate that into actionable feedback the technology team can act on
- You will also serve as the two-way bridge between our litigation attorneys and the technology team
- That means collecting feedback from attorneys using our internal tools on live matters, understanding their pain points, and translating that back to the technology team as concrete requirements
- Conversely, when the technology team needs input on how a particular type of pleading is structured or what case law matters most, you are their point of contact
Skills
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
- Substantial experience in securities litigation, with motion to dismiss briefing and PSLRA pleading standards a major plus
- Demonstrated excellence in legal writing with a portfolio you can discuss
- Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to translate legal concepts for a non-legal technical audience
- Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar) in a professional or research context, or a clear demonstrated interest in how AI is being implemented in legal practice
- You don't need to code, but you should be comfortable working closely with engineers and product teams
- Ability to work independently and hit deadlines without day-to-day supervision
