Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative – Parking Operations & Facility Mobility Specialist is the face and voice of arenaflex at our Fort Lauderdale location. In this hybrid role, you will ensure the highest quality of customer service for every guest while supporting the maintenance team in keeping all common areas near the entrances, exits, and pedestrian pathways clean, welcoming, and safe. You will operate automated revenue control equipment, facilitate the smooth flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and serve as a trusted point of contact for visitors seeking directions, rates, or assistance with their parking experience.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.15 – $20.55 per hour, depending on experience and shift assignment, along with a robust benefits package, paid training, and genuine opportunities for career advancement within arenaflex's national network.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Guest Services

  • Welcome and assist customers as they arrive at and exit the facility, providing courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt service at all times.
  • Help customers efficiently use fully automated revenue control equipment, including pay-on-foot stations, ticket dispensers, and credit card payment terminals.
  • Provide clear directions to guests traveling to various destinations throughout the city, serving as a knowledgeable local ambassador for arenaflex.
  • Quote accurate parking rates, explain validation programs, and help customers understand promotional offerings.
  • Locate vehicles for customers who have forgotten where they parked, using facility maps, license plate recognition tools, and careful communication.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently when possible, escalating to a supervisor only when necessary, and always following arenaflex's service recovery standards.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner when required.
  • Lead and contribute to programs designed to improve client and customer satisfaction, including mystery shopper readiness and post-transaction feedback initiatives.

Cash Handling & Operational Support

  • Count the "bank" of revenue at the beginning of each shift to verify the starting total is correct and balanced.
  • Make change for customers prior to processing transactions, ensuring accuracy and accountability at all times.
  • Monitor parkers in pay-in lanes and intervene as needed to maintain a steady flow of traffic and prevent bottlenecks.
  • Operate credit card machines, calculators, and standard or military-time clocks to process transactions accurately.
  • Conduct regular garage and facility audits as required by management, documenting findings and reporting any maintenance or safety concerns.

Facility Appearance & Safety

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility by picking up trash in surrounding areas, including entrances, exits, elevator banks, stairwells, and pedestrian walkways.
  • Support the maintenance team in keeping all common areas tidy, presentable, and reflective of arenaflex's professional brand standards.
  • Remain vigilant about safety hazards, suspicious activity, and maintenance issues, reporting them promptly to the appropriate supervisor.

Professional Standards & Team Collaboration

  • Present yourself professionally at all times while on duty, including wearing a clean, complete uniform and maintaining a neat, well-groomed appearance.
  • Arrive on time for every scheduled shift, ready to perform duties with energy and focus.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by the supervisor or location manager in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to create a positive, supportive, and high-performing work environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience: Prior experience with automated parking access control hardware and software, or a demonstrated high aptitude for technology and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
  • Driver's License: A valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Availability: Must be flexible and available to work mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. Special shift requirements may include 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekend availability depending on the location's operational needs.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, with the ability to make change accurately.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and interpret the English language. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors, and other employees of the organization.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions, and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Preferred Skills & Competencies

  • Prior customer service, hospitality, retail, or public-facing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use a clock (standard or military time), calculator, and credit card machine to handle transactions efficiently.
  • A pleasant and mannerly demeanor when speaking on the telephone and with the public.
  • Proactive mindset with strong personal drive and proven customer service skills.
  • Willingness to lead by example and take initiative in a team-based environment.
  • Sound judgment, accuracy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment, including the ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events gracefully.
