Role Overview – Data Protection & Privacy Analyst (Remote)

arenaflex is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Data Protection & Privacy Analyst to join our remote workforce. This position focuses on data entry, analysis, and compliance within the broader context of our privacy and security initiatives. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that all data handling practices meet rigorous regulatory standards and internal policies, while supporting the continuous improvement of our data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry tasks related to privacy impact assessments, data inventories, and compliance reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Technology group to integrate privacy controls into new system designs and existing platforms.
  • Monitor and interpret data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and ensure arenaflex’s policies remain up‑to‑date.
  • Conduct regular audits of data handling processes, identify gaps, and recommend remediation actions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including data flow diagrams, privacy notices, and incident response procedures.
  • Provide clear, concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, translating technical privacy concepts into business‑friendly language.
  • Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of privacy‑focused vendors, tools, and services.
  • Support incident response activities by collecting and analyzing relevant data, and contributing to root‑cause analysis.
  • Participate in cross‑functional privacy training sessions and promote a culture of data stewardship across the organization.

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a data‑centric role within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of Data Protection & Privacy requirements and policies at local, national, and international levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, technical teams, and non‑technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Consistent record of reliable, punctual attendance and professional conduct.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Certification such as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) or Security+.
  • Hands‑on experience with privacy‑focused vendors, tools, and product capabilities.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, security engineering, and cryptographic key management.
  • Ability to interpret non‑compliance findings and assess their impact on risk levels and overall program effectiveness.
  • Experience developing and delivering privacy training programs.
