Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain highly scalable, fault‑tolerant data processing pipelines on hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and security teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
  • Write clean, performant code in Java or Scala, adhering to best practices for readability, testability, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement NoSQL data stores (Cassandra, Elasticsearch) and streaming solutions (Kafka) to support real‑time analytics and reporting.
  • Build proof‑of‑concept prototypes to evaluate emerging technologies and drive innovation across the data platform.

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience designing and implementing data processing systems using Java or Scala.
  • Data Engineering Skills: Hands‑on experience with distributed data stores such as Cassandra and Elasticsearch, and familiarity with data streaming platforms like Kafka.
  • Cloud & Containerization: Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for building and deploying micro‑services.
  • Algorithmic Insight: Strong understanding of data structures, memory models, and concurrency concepts inherent to the JVM.
