Backend Software Engineer (Remote, Contract to Hire)
Backend Software Engineer Join a small, highly collaborative team with a relaxed and flexible work environment where engineers have real ownership of their work. Team members often wear multiple hats and play a direct role in building impactful solutions. Flexible PTO and a lenient work schedule are offered. What We're Looking For: Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in backend web development with a focus on building and delivering impactful products and projects
- Heavy hands-on SQL experience is required
- Experience working with distributed systems and messaging technologies such as SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
- Ability to work across different technologies and programming languages (language-agnostic environment)
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership from design through delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in FinTech or other highly regulated industries
- Background working in startup or fast-paced, lean environments
