Technical QA Engineer

Remote-first Full-time Now hiring

A rapidly growing brand is looking for a skilled Technical QA Engineer with experience in Headless eCommerce to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of our eCommerce solutions through rigorous testing methodologies. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and high-performing digital experiences. While Shopify expertise is a plus, we are open to training candidates with strong technical QA skills and eCommerce experience. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated and manual test plans for headless eCommerce applications.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and load testing to ensure system stability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve technical issues early in the development cycle.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and test coverage.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing (BrowserStack or similar tools).
  • Ensure API and front-end performance align with industry best practices.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and performance issues, working closely with engineering teams to resolve them.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and testing methodologies to continuously improve QA processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Technical QA Engineer, preferably in headless eCommerce environments.
  • Strong knowledge of automation testing frameworks and scripting.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and load testing tools.
  • Solid technical ability, including debugging and analyzing system performance.
  • Familiarity with testing APIs, databases, and front-end interfaces.

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Experience working with Shopify (can provide training if needed).
  • Knowledge of Flutter and native mobile development (iOS/Android).
  • Hands-on experience with BrowserStack or similar testing tools.
  • Previous experience in a developer role before transitioning into QA.
