Event Coordinator - Corporate & Social Functions

Our client, a renowned hospitality group, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join their team. This hybrid role focuses on planning, organizing, and executing a variety of corporate events, weddings, and social functions. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of event planning, from initial client consultation and concept development to vendor coordination, budget management, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate has a passion for creating memorable experiences and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. This position involves a combination of remote planning and on-site event management at our venue in St. Louis, Missouri, US . Responsibilities: Liaise with clients to understand their event needs, vision, and budget. Develop event proposals, timelines, and floor plans. Source and manage relationships with vendors, including caterers, decorators, and entertainment. Create and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness. Oversee event logistics, including venue setup, AV requirements, and staffing. Coordinate on-site event execution, ensuring seamless operation and adherence to schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events. Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback. Maintain an organized system for tracking event details and client communications. Stay abreast of current event trends and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination. Proven experience in managing corporate events, weddings, and social functions. Strong understanding of event logistics, vendor management, and budget control. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
