[Remote] Business Central Finance Functional Consultant
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Empiric is working with a leading organization to support the design and delivery of financial systems and processes, leveraging Dynamics 365 Business Central to drive efficiency, visibility, and control across the business. The Business Central Finance Functional Consultant will lead end-to-end implementations, optimize financial modules, and facilitate client workshops while managing the engagement lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Dynamics 365 Business Central finance implementations for clients across multiple industries
- Run discovery sessions, requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design independently
- Lead finance solution design and system architecture within Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Configure and optimize core financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Intercompany, Consolidations, and Financial Reporting
- Translate complex accounting, reporting, and operational requirements into scalable ERP solutions
- Facilitate client workshops and present solutions to CFO, Controller, Finance Director, and other senior finance stakeholders
- Partner with finance teams to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, visibility, and internal controls
- Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), end-user training, go-live support, and post-go-live stabilization activities
- Act as the primary client-facing consultant throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Support full-cycle ERP implementations including discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and go-live
Skills
- 5+ years of Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV functional consulting experience with a strong finance focus
- Proven ability to independently lead multiple full lifecycle Business Central implementations
- Strong expertise across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, Fixed Assets, and financial reporting
- Experience designing financial solutions within Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or NAV
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills with experience working directly with CFO and Finance leadership teams
- Experience with financial reporting tools, consolidations, and multi-entity environments
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
